Fred Hammond knew his collaboration with Kanye West would cause a stir but after a rough go from the collaboration with Snoop Dogg in 2018, decided it would be worth the heat.
Hammond told Rolling Stone Magazine that he recounted the scripture to West about Jesus talking to the church, saying, if you all don’t praise me, the very rocks will cry out and praise me (Luke 19:40). He told Kanye, “it’s possible that you’re one of those rocks.”
After losing a couple best friends who called him a sinner after working with Snoop Dogg’s, Fred Hammond, is unbothered by his work with Kanye West stating, “If you’re praising God for real, I’ll praise Him with you. The Bible says let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

When I first met Cynthia Williams, I felt like I’ve known her forever. She has such a sweet spirit which totally comes across as approachable and peaceful. But it was because of her newest CD project that we happened to meet and I’m so glad we did. Cynthia has what she says is, “her truth is being told” through the lyrics of each song she sings.
No stranger to gospel music or singing, Cynthia began by singing in church and school choirs at an early age. She is a long-time member of GMWA participating in both, her residing local chapters and national. Her first recording was with Pastor C.L. Fairchildand the Voices of Greater Faith in a duet with Fairchild on “He Brought Joy” which received national radio airplay. Williams’ freshman CD project, “Blessed Speechless”, was produced by Grammy-Award nominee Kevin J. Yancy and Richard Gibbs Sr.; with a theme centering around the goodness and mercy of God. Her newest project, “Surrendering Completely”, produced by Floyd “Timeless” Thomas was released in November 2013. Its messages focuses on surrendering everything to God, trusting His will and allowing it to unfold even when we don’t understand it.
Check out my conversation with Cynthia on why she started recording. There’s a testimony behind her songs!
