A few months ago I was introduced to Elohin (pronounced El-o-in), an independent hip hop artist from Detroit. I had to find out more about this man of God, because his sound was so unique to me.
Elohin like many guys in urban America found his identity in, money, girls, violence, and rap music until his lifestyle and music content were challenged and transformed. He now raps to bring awareness to social issues, as a means of expression, and to inspire and encourage his listeners to grow in their faith. We talked about his music, the pronunciation of his name and his plans for a complete CD coming out next year. (via: notyouraveragerapper.com)
