Aspiring Recording Artists, I Don’t Mean Any Harm But…

I try really hard to listen to all the music I’m sent to review. I may not do it right away, but I go for the gusto sometimes! That said, please, Please, PLEASE Indie Gospel Artists… come correct!

You may not have Mary Mary Mixdown Money, but at least rise to the occasion. You may have a unique sound – and that’s perfectly awesome – but a poor mixdown will kill your project.

Work on your packaging.‪ ‎Lee Press On CD Labels are a no no. So are handwritten labels.

Have a working email account set up so that you can send your music via mp3 and can be contacted.

USE Social Media to expose the world to your music… if in fact it is ‪That Deal people will take notice.

Finally, just because you sing in the choir… sometimes lead praise and worship ’cause you can Turn Up the crowd… doesn’t always mean you should cut a CD. That may not be your calling.

I’m Serious.

I'm still trying to figure it out too! I'm a child of God that has a lot to say. I've been given a platform on the air to say it but I tend to be a bit lengthy so enter my website. The "confessions" you see on my website are not the gossip kind but rather conversations with artists, authors, speakers and teachers within the faith-based community. Also, my journey has been colorful, rich and sometimes really hard so, I look for answers and respite through writing. My mom wanted me to write a book  and I'm working on that, so bear with me as I fumble my way through. I'm working on balancing my extremely fun work life with my personal life that is filled with challenges these days. I know that God will see me to victory so... welcome to my life. ~Randi
