There’s an admirable nod to couples who stay married a long length of time these days. Add African American couples to the equation and you would think some of us have seen an alien! I’m blessed to see the marriage of my parents for almost 54-years so I know it can be done.
That’s why I love Black Marriage Day each year at the Wright Museum.
The Wright Museum and Marriage Resource Center are joining forces to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Black Marriage Day and I had the opportunity to talk to Ronald and Lashun Franklin (Marriage Resource Center Board President and Secretary) about the significance of this day:
