I Can’t Hear You!

For over two months, I’ve been dealing with a loss of hearing in my right ear. I’ve had the issue before, but never to the extent that my hearing has been compromised. It was pretty scary and confusing especially when I was in a loud place, having to pick and choose what to listen to. Finally, I went to an ENT and before the hearing evaluation, it was determined that my ear had extensive blockage and it had to be cleaned before the test.

So, they stuck an ear vacuum down my ear canal and Lord Have Mercy the junk they removed!!! Okay, that was gross but I ended up being able to hear clearly before I even had the test, and then passed it with ease.

And so it is with hearing from God.

Sometimes your life can become filled with things that can compromise what is the voice of God. It becomes so scary and confusing at times that you’re not sure if it’s God talking, or the world. Worse yet, things can get so blocked that you can’t hear from God at all! The prophet Jeremiah, said it best, “To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the LORD is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.”

Lord Help Me To Hear From You!

I got the message loud and clear… Remove the junk from your life. Clean the things that are dirty. Listen to my instruction so that you can pass the test.

I hear you Lord… I hear you!

Deuteronomy 28: 2  And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

On a side note: Recently in a scream of desperation I prayed, “God, What Else Can I Do?” Clearly, I heard “Nothing. Just Let Me Be.” Perhaps that’s a word for you today.

Psalm 46:10,

I'm still trying to figure it out too! I'm a child of God that has a lot to say. I've been given a platform on the air to say it but I tend to be a bit lengthy so enter my website. The "confessions" you see on my website are not the gossip kind but rather conversations with artists, authors, speakers and teachers within the faith-based community. Also, my journey has been colorful, rich and sometimes really hard so, I look for answers and respite through writing. My mom wanted me to write a book  and I'm working on that, so bear with me as I fumble my way through. I'm working on balancing my extremely fun work life with my personal life that is filled with challenges these days. I know that God will see me to victory so... welcome to my life. ~Randi
