Thank you to my brother from the Bronx for giving me this scripture today. It is indeed right on time: II Corinthians 4:17, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
This week has been extremely tough and filled with inconveniences and troubles…But God! For the past week I have been driving 25 miles one-way from Farmington Hills to Auburn Hills as my son continues to get the help he needs (50 miles round-trip).
The first day I drove the 25 miles to Auburn Hills – back home, then back to Auburn Hills – back home, then to Redford and to Southfield, Southfield – back to Redford, then finally home to Farmington Hills. Close to 200 miles in one day! It would be different if this were a road trip! Needless to say, for the last couple of days, I’ve been dropping Manchild off then finding places in the area till he gets out. I praise God I’m able to do this because if I were at my old job, I’d be questioned and grilled and then maybe even fired for taking care of my business at home.Yeah, it was like that.
Today I’m at the public library in Auburn Hills. This place is soooo nice! But what I love the most, is the view from where I sit right now.
This piece of beauty designed by God reminds me that though I’m going up the rough side of the mountain right now… it’s temporary. God offered this small glimpse is of what eternal glory will look like.
